Reviews
EXCELLENT Based on 21 reviews Posted on jason gVerified Best guide to date WOW! Rony was an amazing tour guide! But also the sites he took us too and the bike routes were also amazing! Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about this tour and our guide Rony.Posted on Corey BVerified Fantastic unique experience This trip takes you on nice electeic mountain bikes through the scenic back roads to the highlands of Santa Cruz to visit a giant tortoise reserve with lava tubes, and another scenic ride with great views back down to town. You can get really close to the tortoises, and learn all about them, before returning to the starting point through the lava tunnels. The bikes are perfect for the conditions, it doesn't have to be strenuous at all if you turn up the power, and it's all just dirt roads and paved paths, nothing too technical. Our guide Rony was awesome! He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, we really appreciate it. We whole heartedly recommend this activity for a half day excursion!Posted on Stay123456789010Verified Great way to experience the tortoises and the scenery! We had a fantastic time on the e-bikes with Elmira as our guide. The bikes were in great shape and worked perfectly. Elmira was very knowledgeable and kind. She took a ton of photos with and for us of us on bikes and with the tortoises and sent them to us at the end to add to the ones we took ourselves, and even brought us some snacks! We never felt rushed and had a great experience. I think the e-bike trip is a lot more fun than just sitting in the back of a cab!Posted on Abigail VVerified Best way to see Santa Cruz Island! This was an amazing experience! My husband and I were in Ecuador for our honeymoon, and this tour was one of our highlights. Rony was very knowledgeable and kind, and he was a great guide. It was just the two of us on the tour, and he went at our pace and took great pictures of us. We were also very impressed by the state of the roads - there were bike paths all over, and when we did have to bike on roads, they were smooth and safe. This was a very fun and different way to discover the landscape!! Highly highly recommend.Posted on TeoVerified Amazing journey and guide I absolutely love it !!! I ended up having a private tour and the guide was doing his absolute best to keep me entertained telling me all about the places we visited. Included Lava tunnels and some beautiful gorges that I forgot the name 😂 Ronnie is the best guide and adjusted to my speed (of a turtle) for the full ride. Really a great way to do some exercise in Galapagos 🤩🥰😍🤩Posted on Freedom729729Verified Fabulous experience and so reasonable! Rony and his wife Amira were just so kind and attentive! We never felt rushed and they enjoyed the sights as much as we did. E-bikes were in great shape! Please sign up for their e-bike excursion- they’re deserving of your business!Posted on Kerrie GVerified Must do activity whilst in the Galapagos This was a really good experience and a must do whilst in the Galapagos. I was picked up and returned to my hotel. We seen lots of giant tortoises, and stopped for lots of photo opportunities. Elmira was a great guide and took loads of photos of us throughout and sent them to us later in the day. This was great for me as a solo traveller. And as a bonus it's an electric bike so very easy once you get the hang of it.Posted on darren11720Verified E- bike is the best way to see El Chato Ranch tortoises! This was my 2nd visit to El Chato, the first was on the way from the airport to the town, which taxi drivers will offer as an add-on. It was good but the e-bike is a far better way to experience tortoises at a custom pace. This tour significantly exceeded expectations. Note, you will take a pickup truck to the ranch and then e-bike back to Puerto Ayora. At the ranch, we saw dozens of tortoises young and old, with great photo opportunities. On the ride back, we saw dozens more tortoises, in the road, in the fields, grazing with cows(!). We could stop for photos at our leisure. The air and breeze at the slightly higher elevation than town was refreshing in the hot February sun. Elmira our guide was knowledgeable, helpful, and safety-conscious at every turn. Highly recommend this tour, you will love it!Posted on Robin TVerified Definitely good value! Excellent trip, superb guide and even the aged amongst us coped fine. The bikes were in great condition and electric was definitely the way to go.Posted on Danielle GVerified Awesome! I didn't expect this to end up being one if my favourite tours in the Galapagos but it was! It was just me, my tour guide Rony, and his wife. When we got to El Chato there were a few more people, but was still a nice little group. Rony was really great at checking in to make sure I was doing well with the bike, and he was AMAZING at taking lots of pics for me (he took a bunch of candid ones and posed ones and then sent them all to me on whatsapp afterwards). The giant tortoises were everywhere and I was always encouraged to stop anytime I wanted to. Once they realized I was doing well with the biking part, they also took me to an area that wasn't as touristy and it was so nice just biking along these quiet streets/paths and seeing all the greenery and feeling more like a local. I also ran into Rony like a week later as I was just wondering around Santa Cruz, and he still recognized me and striked up a conversation with me and gave more some more recommendations of things to do. Would definitely recommend this tour! The highlands are beautiful, and was much cooler seeing the tortoises here as compared to at the breeding center in my opinion!
